Train Dispatcher 2.0 is a computer program that allows a user to simulate railroad activity over a specified stretch of railroad, with the user taking the place of the dispatcher. In this section of SJRail.com, you can download two different track territories.  The first one simulates the actions of the Conrail South Jersey dispatcher, while the second one simulates the actions of the NJ Transit AC Line dispatcher (Raritan Line).  You can even get Train Dispatcher 2.0 (the simulating base program) for free at the links below. There is no charge to simulate these operations.  Please read below for details on how to download this file.

Click on one of the links below to download the appropriate territory. Once the ZIP file is downloaded, you must extract the text file that is included with the .TRK file, and read it. That document will tell you what you must do to gain access to the password that protects the .TRK file. I'm truly sorry for any inconvenience password protection may cause for you, but I felt that it was necessary to prevent reverse-engineering of the territory (that is, someone else decides to download it simply to modify it and then release it as their own). If you do not currently own Train Dispatcher 2.0 (which you need to simulate this territory), you can get a FREE copy at http://www.signalcc.com/train2/td2freeware.html.

Please note that both of these files have been scanned by a recently updated McAfee Viruscan and are found to be fully virus-free.  However, I'd like to express the fact that I cannot be held responsible for any damage done to your computer or software contained therein through the use of these track territories.  I'd also like to express the fact that it's impossible to do anything to your computer that would disable it with this software, but you never know what some people might claim...

Click the large headers below or the DOWNLOAD HERE links to download the appropriate territory.  When you send me an email requesting the password, please be sure to specify which track territory you are requesting access to.  They use different passwords at any given time and one will never work for both.  I'd like to also ask you not to distribute the password you get for the territories, please direct inquiries from anyone you know that wish to download these files to me.  Thanks for your cooperation.

Known problems:

There are some issues with on-time performance here.  Due to certain restrictions of the simulator, trains may seem to be late more often than they really are.  Be especially careful around interlockings and sidings where trains meet, clear trains as quickly as possible to attempt to keep them moving through the siding instead of stopping (a rolling pass is nice...where neither train comes to a complete stop).  Although paid NJ Transit employees have an employee timetable to tell them where meets are scheduled, I'll leave that as an additional challenge for the user :)
